About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, London or Dublin
Salary: £29,000 - £43,600 depending on skills and experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working in a dynamic team to drive analysis and insights to support the development of SSER’s strategy, the Insights Analyst will produce market analysis and reports on the markets SSER are currently active in and any potential new markets.
Working closely with teams across SSER, you will develop and produce a varied range of analysis and reporting, from wide ranging general market news to specific country analysis.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Carrying out Market Analysis on the UK, Ireland and International Renewable Generation markets and prepare reports for the wider SSER business areas and Renewables Executive Committee.
- Provide regular updates on news, trends and activities in key SSER markets.
- Working closely with the Business Development and Energy Economics teams to provide analysis on how new opportunities fit within the market.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous experience in market analysis and/or educated to degree level (preferably in engineering, maths, business, economics or similar subject).
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and an understanding of the key drivers in renewable project development and operations.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with effective communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate research findings and produce clear summaries and recommendations.
- A high proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI to produce and communicate insightful analysis.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a team, as well as able to use your own initiative.
