About the Role

Base Location: Perth

Salary: SS08 £47,872 - £55,653 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Reporting to the Hydro Operational Planning Manager, you’ll be accountable for forecasting the long and short term production from our Hydro portfolio, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the assets.

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

- Adequately planning and scheduling outages to produce a manageable workload for Hydro operations centre, and

- Liaising with third parties, including National Grid to accurately understand and capture impact of outages on their assets on Hydro operations and production plan.

- Developing the annual production plan including the modelling of running schedules to optimise water storage, whilst ensuring regulatory compliance. 

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A degree level qualification in a technical or engineering discipline or to HNC level with demonstrable relevant experience.  

- Experience working within an operational environment with a solid understanding of operational safety rules and their application to ensure safety from the system.

- Experience of working in regulated business, requiring understanding and implementation of procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with operational licences.

- Knowledge of the energy market and understanding of Grid code requirements.
