What are the opportunities?

SSE Renewables is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy across the UK and Ireland.

With a portfolio of around 4GW of onshore wind, offshore wind and hydro, our strategy is to drive the transition to a net zero world through the world class development, construction and operation of renewable energy assets. We drive new growth by identifying, developing, building and operating high quality assets across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

We're aiming to treble our renewable energy output from 2019 levels to 30TWh by 2030, making a significant contribution to decarbonising the power sector and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

We cannot deliver these projects without a powerful and talented team, and we are looking for passionate and experienced individuals for numerous Control and Instrumentation / SCADA opportunities across our Renewables business throughout 2021.

What will you need?

To be considered for these roles, we would love you to have;

- Minimum of HNC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline

- Experience of working front line within a maintenance and engineering environment

- Strong knowledge of SCADA / PLC systems, specification, configuration and commissioning

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Knowledge of the main control systems industry IEC standards and commonly used communication protocols

Experience of negotiating contracts on large scale construction projects would be advantageous.

Having a background in Renewables isn't necessary, as we welcome applications from those with transferable experience. It's more important to us that you share our values, bring unique experience and are eager to learn.
