What is the role?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in either Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, looking to progress into the BEMS Industry.

You will be office based in a varied, interesting and fast paced Remote Centre environment, offering ongoing technical training and career progression.

As a Remote Support Technician working in our team, you will remotely connect to industrial customer Building Management Systems, provide technical support and assist customers by providing professional advice on how to improve their environmental conditions, optimise energy performance and reduce carbon emissions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide professional technical expertise to our business customers to resolve issues using building energy management systems and engineering tools
  • In depth knowledge of building services plant assets and associated ancillary equipment
  • Supporting customers and engineers establishing remote connections to buildings
  • Responsible for completing investigation and providing resolutions for plant alarm activations to minimise customer downtime
  • Responsible for remotely connecting to new customer buildings ensuring contracted services are configured in line with the customer contract scope

To be considered for this role it’s preferable but not essential that you have:

  • Qualifications to NC or HNC level with electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a building services role within commercial buildings and can demonstrate understanding of building plant and equipment.
  • Understanding on the operation of Building Energy Management Systems and their purpose.
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills, you are self-driven with an ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders, including customer and external service providers.
