What is the Role?
The Project Development Manager role will span the breadth of DE's propositions - managing the development & delivery of projects across several disciplines and locations/ sites. Your focus will be on energy performance contracts (EPC’s) and you’ll need the ability to combine EPC’s with a clear understanding of private networks, distributed generation & storage, district heating and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Whilst more projects will be in England, there are regular opportunities to develop projects in other parts of the UK as well.
Your responsibilities will include “cradle to grave” programme management meaning you’ll be the main interface for the client (and their requirements/ expectations) whilst collaborating with the various business areas responsible for project scope development & delivery (for example Legal, Engineering, Commercial, etc). This will include identifying & agreeing on pre- and post-construction deliverables which meet planning, construction, design and management regulations.
The Project Development Manager will work to ensure project lifecycle objectives are met in areas such as health & safety, planning/ regulation, budget, specification, quality and time, with a view to developing client accounts for further future business ventures.
This role reports to the Senior Projects & Operations Manager of the Smart Energy Systems team.
