Salary: £32329 - £39,463 depending on skills and experience

About the Department
Our Procurement and Commercial team are responsible for helping the business to procure services and materials in a timely and cost-effective way. We work right across the SSE Group, ensuring our businesses gets the best possible service and value from our supplier network, as well as ensuring all service providers are compliant and continue to meet contractual obligations and business need.
What is the Role?
As part of the Data Insights & Analytics team within the Procurement Shared Services function, you’ll be responsible for the development, execution and ongoing support of various data analytics and reporting solutions used by Procurement staff and users across other SSE directorates.
You'll work in a small team to manage reporting requirements across the Procurement function, providing a high-quality data reporting service used by buyers, category managers, department heads and directors to understand activities within their areas.
Accuracy, consistency, clarity and timeliness are key aspects of the role, along with a keen interest in driving insights through data interrogation and problem solving. Additionally, there will be work on developing new services, process improvement.
You'll need to show good levels of communication, be able to contribute to both team and wider calls & meetings, give advice and support to other staff, and act as the first point of contact for any data related questions or issues.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
-An understanding of key SSE businesses and areas of operation would be useful, along with experience of general procurement processes and an interest in other energy industry topics.
-Able to compile and understand new data to provide insights and reports in response to internal customer questions.
-You'll need a high level of IT literacy within the Office 365 product suite, excel skill to analyse, interpret and create dashboards.
-Experience with creating and managing content in SharePoint, Power BI, Power Advocate/Flow, Power Apps, Yammer and Azure Chatbots.
-Knowledge of leading data analytics & visualisation tools such as Tableau, QlikView, SAS and especially Omniscope would be beneficial, along with exposure to Enterprise ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) and any leading Procurement sourcing and contract lifecycle tools.
