About the Role

Base Location: Flexible UK | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots around the UK.

Salary: £39,400 - £59,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join a team involved in making improvements to our ways of working. Reporting to the Head of Continuous Improvement you will be responsible for the development, successful delivery and embedding of the Continuous Improvement to support the business, in particular:

- Developing, implementing and embedding a continuous improvement to support the delivery of the SSEN business plan and lean ways of working, whilst improving both leadership and operational capability.

- Identifying opportunities to improve performance and processes within SSEN Distribution. Using a data driven approach and statistical analysis to understand the size, scale and impact of the problem.

- Own and evolve improvement initiatives by managing project plans to successfully deliver improvement objectives within time, quality and cost constraints as well as monitoring and tracking the delivery of value/benefits to the ED1/ED2 business plan.

- Act as champion and ambassador for Continuous Improvement within SSEN Distribution providing guidance and support to the business and mentoring the key business contacts on continuous improvement tools and techniques.

- Working closely with a network of Lean Practitioners, Yellow, Green and Blacks belts within the business to coach, mentor and support the embedding of continuous improvement through the development of technical abilities, sharing of best practice, success stories and demonstrating business improvements to the way SSEN Distribution delivers the ED1/ED2 business plan.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Continuous Improvement development, deployment and delivery in a customer focused high-volume business.

- Practical knowledge and personal experience of implementing Lean, six sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Good understanding of operations within the Energy industry to be able to identify fit for purpose solutions.
