Salary: £29,290 - £38,685 + overtime + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

SSEN Transmission is currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Data and Compliance Technician, whose key responsibilities will be:

- Responsible for ensuring management of asset inspection, maintenance and condition data as well as the management of critical soft and hard copied of technical asset documentation.

- Responsible for detailed technical administration tasks across the full Operations and Maintenance portfolio, currently aligning to more than £3.6B in asset value.

- You will ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place and issues are dealt with pro-actively thus ensuring the safe reliable operation of equipment connected or about to be connected to the transmission system.

- You will ensure statutory, regulatory and internal process and procedures are adhered to.

- Recording and verification of information relating to operations and maintenance activities and data assurance works are a critical part of the role, alongside the production of reports and Key Performance Indicator information for management and senior management reports.

What do you need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- At least working towards a minimum SVQ Level 3 in engineering discipline or working experience in a similar role within the power systems industry will be considered. Also, SSE Operational Authorisation Cat 1, 2 & 3 or similar.

- Understanding and use of asset management tools such Maximo and other systems, such as Vault, Electric Office, ArcGIS

- Working knowledge of all technical functions within power systems operations and SSEN Transmission and Awareness and understanding of main power systems components

- Understanding of legal and regulatory obligations for Transmission, an appreciation of the core engineering elements of the Transmission network and good knowledge of Transmission Operations and Maintenance deliverables and procedures.

- Ability to communicate technical issues in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision.
