About the Role

Base Location: Wiltshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire or West London

We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots in the South of England

Salary: £40,658 - £49,626 depending on skills and experience + car allowance or cash alternative and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Your role as a Lead Quoter will be the day-to-day line management of the Minor Connections Quotation Team within the Southern Electricity Power Distribution regions

Other roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the quotations delivered by the minor connections team are accurate, compliant and meet all standards and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for maximising and improving the customer experience and their journey through their new connection along with tight timescales for quotations issued
  • Liaison with Minor Connections Quoters and internal stakeholders regarding customer interaction, escalations and queries
  • Managing KPI incentives through driving quality and productivity by managing workload and driving more accurate quotations

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Good understanding of SSE's core purpose, strategy and goals
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment as it applies to the connections business
  • In depth knowledge of communication and engagement strategies
  • Good operating knowledge of the requirements for new connections
  • Operated within a customer driven environment, possessing excellent customer service skills
