About the Role

Base Location: Dublin

Salary: €55 -60k pro-rata and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract, Part Time | Flexible First options available

What is the role?

An exciting opportunity has been created for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team under the SSE Customer Energy Solutions Business. Working closely with the Internal Control Business Partner as Financial Accountant, you will work to design and embed process simplification and control improvements around key balance sheet risk areas. You will be integral to the Finance function but also required to liaise with internal stakeholders to identify and embed process simplification opportunities across operational teams. In addition to maintaining high levels of financial control and implementing process simplification you will be responsible for accurate and timely execution of general accounting activities. This role will be on a part-time basis, offering flexibility on working location and also the scheduling of working days.    

Key Accountabilities

- Maintain robust control environment

- Process Improvement Analysis within Finance and Operational Teams

- Balance Sheet control account reconciliations

- General Ledger Accounting

- Liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate backup provided as requested.

What do I need?

- Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years Post Qualified Experience 

- Effectively communicating with operational colleagues to embed financial understanding and solve complex problems

- Adaptive to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results

- Able to manage multiple complex projects/processes simultaneously

- Focused on creating value for the Business

- Operationally and commercially focused
