Base Location: Glasgow

Salary: £24,479 - £29,879 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

As a Facilities Management Assistant, you will be required to provide support to the Site Facilities Manager in the delivery of day-today Facilities Management services. Working as part of a team and on your own initiative, you will work to provide an excellent level of customer service for all SSE colleagues and visitors and assist in all aspects of delivering high quality FM services.

Service - Proactively be involved with all aspects of FM service delivery and will work alongside other FM colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the FM managed estate. 

Performance - Ensuring that optimum customer service is provided to site occupants. Deliver to set targets and timescales ensuring statutory compliance, regulation and health, safety and environmental objectives are met as per the SHE/FM standards

Safety - Ensure SSE SHE standards and policies are adhered with and that safe working practices are maintained whether in relation to activities being carried out by the FM Team or external contractors.

Carry out Site Safety and Contractor Audits, monitor SEARs and chase actions for sites. Promote and implement SSE’s SHE cultures and policy.

Administration - Deliver administration duties such as audits, review of maintenance worksheets, identifying where remedial work is required on the back of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) activity. Provide cover across all FM tasks that range from reception, post room, Help Desk. 

Quality & Audit -Ensure that the programmed audit targets are delivered.  Maintain a high-quality stakeholder experience. Deal positively with complaints/negative feedback, quickly resolving these in an effective manner.

 What do I need?

- Qualification related to the FM profession such as IWFM Level 3, NEBOSH, IOSH or any other accreditations in line with the FM discipline. Please note this is desirable, not essential. 

- Experience in the use of CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management)

- Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders, across a number of business functions to support the delivery of their departmental goals.

- Previous experience within FM, either in-house, TFM or client side. 

- Knowledge of both hard and soft FM services.

The role will involve travel, with the postholder requiring covering other sites to ensure the delivery of FM Services across the estate. Driving licence is essential.
