About the Role

Base Location: Perth - Though predominantly working from Home, you will be required to work from the office for 2-3 days per week.

Salary: £39,400 - £59,000 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Settlements team within Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) core function is to manage all settlement and portfolio reconciliation activities for EPM to ensure accurate and timely validation of income and expenditure. They manage the settlement process through the full invoice lifecycle stages, minimising bad debt and collateral risk, whilst optimising cash flows; and providing key financial data to other business units.

As Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day management of settlements activities, ensuring risk is managed effectively. 

Some of your other accountabilities will include.

-Delivering routine and bespoke reporting for high value transactions, providing a clear view of financial impacts around market volatility to Leadership Team and various internal stakeholders.

-Promoting a right first-time approach where lessons are learned through management of team and individual performance.

-Management of team performance and effectiveness against operational targets, through coaching and development.

-Provide high quality, professional customer experience, managing key financial, regulatory and energy market risks whilst adhering to all rules and regulations.

-Manage change effectively, from inception to implementation, with a positive attitude, encouraging and supporting your team to ensure successful delivery.

What do I need?

To be considered in this role we would love you to have;

-A background in Commodities or Exchange Trading is desirable.

-People management experience with the ability to motivate, coach and support your team through strong leadership.

-Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarise complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity in written and verbal form.

-Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to innovation and problem solving.

-Manage key relationships with internal/external stakeholders, exercising your strong influencing and negotiation skills to achieve key deliverables and timelines.
