Base Location: Portsmouth, Southampton, Oxford, Slough or Reading / Flexible Locations across the South
Salary: £42,691 - £49,626 + car allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available
Our SSEN Distribution Commercial and Connections teams are the first point of contact for customers wishing to have a new electricity connection, increase the size of their existing connection, install generation, or move the equipment supplying their property.
As a Network Connections Designer, you'll be helping to ensure Guaranteed Standards are met when providing quotations for new connections for customers.
Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing customers with designs and quotations for both import and export connections to our network.
- Designing connections between 250kVA and 100MW that will connect to the 11kV/33kV/132kV network.
- Ensuring all our designs are compliant with all appropriate rules and regulations in place, as well as meeting all engineering specifications and financial targets.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Excellent working knowledge of both low and high voltage distribution and Power Systems networks.
- An ability to create designs which promote safety throughout.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficient organisation skills and a strength in developing and nourishing positive working relationships.
- A great appreciation for safety, and ensuring our safety values are at the forefront of your working.
- I.T. literate being comfortable with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Office.
