IT Technical Lead – Asset information

Base Location: Perth, Reading, Havant, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen – Remote Flexibility Available

Salary: £51,946 - £68,603 + On call package

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time 37 Hours| Flexible Working options available | On Call

What is the Role?

Your role will be to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of technical resources to develop and support the IT solutions and services aligned with your product Owner and key business processes.  

What Do I Need?

Experience sought to support the role:

  • Following ITIL processes
  • Agile and DevOps practices
  • Creating integrations between systems e.g. APIs, Connectors 
  • Data solutions - working with large datasets to optimise asset information
  • Document Management systems. SharePoint, Oracle Aconex and InEight advantageous
  • ArcGIS and technical drawing management such as AutoCAD
  • Visual Studio / Azure DevOps 
  • .NET, C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript, YAML 
  • Strong background in SharePoint & Azure Cloud Services
  • Microsoft Connecters - Comfortable writing custom connectors & APIs 
  • Logic apps - Comfortable building logic apps in Azure  
  • Ability to build and manage Azure DevOps Pipelines 
  • An ability to work with Infra-as-code services e.g. Terraform 

Primary duties for the role include:

  • Working with Product Owners and Delivery leads to assist with organising the backlog of work
  • Incident, problem and change management of responsible applications & systems
  • Manage major IT incidents to resolution within defined SLAs and utilising problem management to avoid repeat occurrences
  • Lead and develop a team of technical cross-functional engineers
  • Platform and application configuration 
  • Application installation and lifecycle management
  • Participating in Scrum stand ups and other agile ceremonies 
  • Leveraging automation to increase capacity for value-add activities
  • Contributing to system design & architecture discussions 
  • Designing support practices and onboarding new systems for operational support 
  • Taking the lead in ensuring the IT services within the value stream are secure via best practice, patching, vulnerability & obsolescence management
  • Ensuring maintenance schedules are in place and delivered for applications & systems
  • Be part of an on-call support rota
