Salary: £36,836 to £48,648 (depending on experience) + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available

What is the role?

This is your chance to work on a range of exciting projects in the Emerging Technologies team.  As the name suggests, you'll get to test out the latest tech, push boundaries in what has been done before, perform R&D, and ultimately influence new tech adoption for an enterprise-level business.  You'll get involved in everything from:-

- Creating working demonstrations with the latest tech

- Creating Proof of Concepts

- Being hands-on, you'll still get to code, and work with hardware solutions.

- Following market trends

- Demonstrating the benefits of new tech to the business, working closely with stakeholders, bridging the technology to business gap.

- Being proactive and customer-focussed.

What do I need?

We need technology agnostics.  You won't be pigeonholed in this team.  As you could be testing out tech in any area, you need to enjoy learning, solving problems and challenging yourself.  Some recent examples (though not an exhaustive list), include

  • Virtual and Augmented Reality
  • Machine Learning
  • AI
  • IoT and the latest web technologies

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience or understanding of the software development lifecycle, ideally with a strong software development background.

- Experience from a similar support or development role or research background (preferred), with the ability to demonstrate knowledge in technical computing, analysis, design and development skills.

- Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.  You'll be delivering quality work to strict deadlines in a pressured environment that offers you the opportunity to work at the bleeding edge of technology, where no project is the same and you are supported in growing your career.
