Base Location: Dublin 18

Salary: Salary: €35,400 - €53,000 depending on skills and experience 

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available

What is the Role?

SSE Energy Customer Solutions (ECS) is expanding its Agile capability. This new role of IT Data Protection Specialist in the ECS IT Team will be instrumental in our aim for Privacy by Design.

• Collaboratively work with our Scrum teams across ECS IT contribute to achieving their delivery outcomes while ensuring that customer data is at all times respected and protected.
• Ensure that the SSE Data Protection framework is applied from the very beginning of design and development, and you will educate your IT colleagues on Data Protection considerations.
• Maintain a strong relationship with Corporate and ECS Business Data protection teams. You will ensure that all relevant information is collated and made available to ensure that Data Protection review and approval process runs smoothly.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

• Experienced Data Protection professional and ideally a certified Data Protection Practitioner (Post/including GDPR).   
• You’ll be knowledgeable in governance, risk and control concepts and application, with the ability to identity effective solutions.
• You should enjoy working in cross functional scrum teams, contributing to the teams effectiveness and positive working environment.
• You will have strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead delivery through others.  As a confident communicator, you’ll be capable of liaising with individuals at all levels within the organisation, you’ll have the confidence to challenge in a professional and proactive way when necessary. 
• Strong analytical, and organisation skills will be necessary, as will the ability to have a structured approach in order to operate effectively and make calculated decisions.
