Base Location: Inverness

Salary: £10.58 - £14.11 p/h depending on skills and experience, plus excellent benefits package

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible Working options available

About the Department

Operations are responsible for keeping the lights on; we are at the front line on the Network. If we find a fault, it is our responsibility to respond to the fault, and dispatch our skilled teams to fix it as quickly as possible. We work in all hours, and through all weathers, ensuring our customers are never without power.

What is the Role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Civils Craftsperson to join our team based in Inverness. You'll work on a variety of projects and work to the highest level of care. In this role, you'll set up sites to comply with Street Works legislation and work on excavation projects, undertaking cable and pipe laying responsibilities as well as other ad hoc requests.

What do I need?

To ensure you get the most from this role, you'll have a hands-on approach and be ready to adapt to all tasks provided. Having worked in a similar role previously, your tickets should include NRSWA Street works. Due to the nature of this role, you'll be asked to take part in standby duties, responding to faults overnight and at weekends as part of a rota so you should be flexible with your time.

We'll encourage and empower you to be imaginative, sharing great ideas and doing work you can be proud of.

A full driving license is required for this role.
