Salary: £40,658 to £49,626 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Trainer/assessor with expertise within the UK electrical High Voltage Distribution networks. You will facilitate training and conduct assessments to ensure that SSE staff have the technical knowledge & skills to support business to operate safely on the network. You will be required to assist with the development of training and deliver training throughout the UK to meet our customer’s needs.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role,

- You will have excellent communication skills and a flair for developing people. You must have a technical background with suitable experience working on UK distribution networks

- Experience in coaching others, teaching and assessing, however someone who holds the relevant technical and communication skills who can evidence the potential to become a successful trainer will be considered as a development opportunity. A developing trainer may not fulfil the requirements for the advertised salary immediately although a development plan will be in place to achieve this

- Recently held distribution network authorisations to undertake live LV working and switching operations on LV distribution networks is essential

- Strong Operational background, with experience Jointing LV and HV cables on distribution networks　

- A recognised safety qualification such as NEBOSH/IOSH or a sound understanding of UK Safety Regulations (ESQCR, Electricity at Work and Environmental) would be beneficial

- A recognised safety qualification such as NEBOSH/IOSH or a sound understanding of UK Safety Regulations (ESQCR, Electricity at Work and Environmental) would be beneficial.
