What is the Role? 

Due to growth within the Greater London and Southeast region, we’re seeking an experienced BEMS Technical Engineer, to join our team who will help identify and drive additional small works opportunities.

Working with our engineers, coordination team and operations managers, the role will be to seek out additional small/extra works projects and prepare technical solutions to present to the customer.

Our Support business has a fantastic reputation in the industry and has some exciting plans to grow and develop the region further.

Key accountabilities will also include –

- Reviewing engineers reports to identify extra works opportunities

- Coaching engineers to help identify more opportunities and to provide technical support

- Creating technical solutions and proposals

- Developing the BEMS and Building Controls portfolio and increase the extra works pipeline

- Driving campaigns & initiatives to win new business from existing and new customers

- Promoting and building professional client relationships; develop new sources of profitable business; meet clients and prospects; to maintain excellent relationships and after sales support; to build rapport/mutual confidence in line with the agreed business strategy and plans.

- Raise the company and business BEMS sector profile

- Keep up-to-date with BEMS industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends.

- To communicate with and report to the Regional Operations Manager, to work in tandem in the growth of the department

What do I need?

Besides your passion to be the best in your field, help the region and yourself grow, you should be conversant with all aspects of BEMS including infrastructure, software, integration and controls philosophies.

You should be able to engage in technical discussions around building control technologies with our clients and be confident in offering solutions in a clear and easily understood manner.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential to maintain a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders including customers and external service providers

It is expected you'll be proactive, self-motivated, display a professional manner and a dedication to achieving results, with great outcomes for the company by meeting customer expectations; including delivering technical support, coaching and direction. You'll be working in an ever-changing environment and as such will be adaptable and flexible.

With a determination to grow company's business, you’ll enjoy proactively contacting new clients and be comfortable presenting them with solutions to their BEMS requirements.

You’ll also possess a proactive and forward thinking mind-set where you can add value to our business and the ability to demonstrate examples of your past and current responsibilities.

As you'll be field based but with very regular travel to different sites & customer locations, it is essential that you hold a full driving licence and are located within the region with a flexible working approach.
