Base Location: Greater London and surrounding counties within Southeast England

As part of our growth plans, we are looking for an experienced Project Sales Manager who can bring big ideas, new skills and innovative thinking to help us build a world that's more sustainable and inclusive for you, your family, and the community you live in.

Ideally you will have worked in the building controls marketplace; have a strong technical understanding of building system functionalities; have a desire to bring commercial benefit and long term value to our customers (by using the BMS to reduce operating costs for example), and possess excellent service skills to engage with our clients

What is the Role? 

  • You will be working with end user customers, contractors and building services consultants to help design control systems that will deliver high performing buildings
  • This role will benefit from working closely with our customers to gain an understanding of their business, operational and environmental objectives
  • You will match SSE solutions to our customers’ business needs, highlighting how our solutions meet commercial objectives  
  • You will manage the entire sales process from solution design, through estimating and proposal development to achieve an agreed sales target whilst overseeing a team of Sales Engineers.

What do I need?

  • You'll be proactive, self-motivated, display a professional manner and have a dedication to achieving results
  • You will likely already have previous experience working in a BEMS engineering role with a good grounding in multiple BEMS products and an understanding of how buildings mechanically work
  • You will enjoy proactively seeking out new opportunities, contacting new customers and be comfortable presenting them with solutions to their requirements.
  • You might have particular knowledge about an industry sector that will help your understanding of customers’ commercial and organisational objectives; such as Education, Health, Life Sciences and Pharma, Data Centres or Commercial Property
  • As you’ll be field based and travelling to different sites and customer locations, it is essential that you hold a full driving licence and are located within the region with a flexible working approach
